Do you ever feel like a little kid again—reacting with the same old hurts, doubts, or anger?
Or notice immaturity in others and wonder where it comes from?
That’s often the voice of the child inside us, still carrying unresolved emotions and false beliefs formed in our earliest years. Those formative moments shaped patterns that quietly run our adult lives—self-doubt, self-sabotage, perfectionism, fear of mistakes, or feeling “not good enough.”
The Childhood Regression Technique is a gentle, powerful way to go back, listen with compassion, and help that younger self finally feel seen, safe, and loved. It brings self-awareness, frees trapped emotions, rewrites limiting beliefs, and restores your power to choose joyfully today.
I’ve adapted this method through prayer, study, and years of energy healing work with clients. It always leads back to the heart: our core thoughts and beliefs. When we heal the child within, we heal not only ourselves but ripples backward and forward through our family line.
Childhood Regression is deeply empowering because it helps you:
Increase self-awareness and self-mastery
Release trapped emotions and rewrite false beliefs
Grow in self-acceptance, self-love, and confidence
Deepen faith, trust, and love for God
Break negative patterns so they no longer repeat
Move from blame and victimhood to full accountability and creation
You become the loving adult your younger self always needed—and in doing so, you free yourself to live more fully, lightly, and joyfully.
Close your eyes and visit your younger self at the age that feels right (trust your heart or muscle test if needed).
Let that child speak freely—no judgment, no interruption.
Ask gently:
How do you feel?
What happened?
What did you come to believe about yourself, others, or life?
Listen until the child feels fully heard. Often, just being witnessed brings relief.
Many of our automatic reactions are learned or inherited—once seen, they lose power.
Examples of common false beliefs:
“I’m not good enough” (from abandonment or rejection)
“I can’t be trusted” (from harsh correction)
“I don’t belong” (from bullying or exclusion)
“I’m responsible for everyone’s happiness” (from early caregiving roles)
Now, as the wise, loving adult, give your younger self exactly what was needed then:
Comfort, safety, words of love
Clear explanations (“It wasn’t your fault”)
Permission to feel, play, rest, or be
Do this in your mind—hug them, read to them, open the locked door, create a safe space.
Speak the healing words your heart longed to hear.
This step often brings tears of release—beautiful, cleansing tears.
This is where full freedom comes.
Prayerfully consider: God allowed these experiences for a purpose—your growth, your compassion, your unique mission.
List what you can now appreciate or accept:
The lessons that shaped your empathy
The strength you gained
How this refined you into the person who can help others
Surrender the pain to Jesus Christ’s Atonement.
Thank God for the refining.
Accept that His plan is perfect—even when it felt hard.
When you appreciate and accept, the wound closes, and joy rushes in.
Oils help rewire beliefs faster—especially for early childhood wounds (lower chakras). Use them while doing the steps (inhale, apply over heart or solar plexus, affirm truth):
Root Chakra (0–7 years): Arborvitae, Cassia, Cinnamon, Lemongrass, Patchouli, Purify
Sacral Chakra (7–14 years): Cheer, Cinnamon, Citrus Bliss, Jasmine, Lavender, Passion, Purify, Wild Orange
Solar Plexus Chakra (14–21 years): Bergamot, Cheer, Ginger, Lemon, Petitgrain
Affirmations to say while using the oils:
“I fully love and accept myself.”
“I am safe, worthy, and guided by God.”
“I release what no longer serves me.”

Even “good” childhoods leave imprints—perfect parents don’t exist.
You don’t have to remember every detail. The oils and emotions will guide you.
Change takes time—months or even years of gentle reconditioning—but it happens.
Be patient and kind with yourself. God is patient and kind with you.
You’re not broken—you’re healing.
The child inside you is ready to be loved fully by the adult you’ve become.
Let that love flow. Let God hold what you can’t.
