Hold Onto Your Courage

Does your dad do this too? As I was growing up, my dad would say random sayings—I’m not sure if he quoted them correctly or not, but some of them still stick in my head! He was a lot like Flint Lockwood’s dad from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. My dad was a fisherman too, though in this case it wasn’t strictly fishing metaphors. Haha.

I hear this quote repeated in my head sometimes.

It just reminds me to stay on track. I know I’m on the right track when I feel happy and excited about what I’m doing. Some moments the negative voices sneak in, causing me momentary doubts. During those times I have to pause and check my inner dialogue. This quote (and others) comes to mind, helping me hold onto faith in my dreams.

Don’t let go of that courage, my friends. Be fiercely loyal to your dreams. You are just as good and deserving as everyone else in the world.
