I used to believe the world was divided into givers and takers.
I proudly placed myself in the “giver” category—until I noticed the quiet resentment, burnout, and inner conflict that came with it.
I was giving and giving… but rarely receiving. And I didn’t even realize receiving was part of the equation.
The truth is gentler: We’re meant to be both givers and receivers.
That beautiful cycle allows energy (love, help, abundance) to flow freely—without draining anyone.
Takers receive without gratitude or reciprocity.
They benefit from victim mentality, drama, or sympathy—yet stay stuck, unempowered, and unchanged.
Givers often dread them because the exchange feels unequal, heavy, and exhausting.
The taker may not even know they’re taking—yet the giver walks away depleted.
Receivers, on the other hand, receive with humility, gratitude, and openness.
They don’t drain—they energize.
The giver feels appreciated, seen, and blessed.
The receiver feels loved, supported, and inspired to give in return.
Love cycles. Unity grows. Joy multiplies.
Many kind-hearted people (especially mothers, healers, and natural givers) fear receiving looks selfish—like taking.
So we over-give, burn out, and hide—wondering why we feel so empty despite serving so much.
We subconsciously believe:
“If I receive, I’m a burden.”
“Good people don’t need help.”
“I must do it all alone to prove my worth.”
But when our fundamental needs (love, importance, security) aren’t filled first by God, we seek them through drama, sympathy, or being needed.
It’s not selfish to receive—it’s humble.
It’s how we allow our Creator’s abundant blessings to reach us fully.
Anchor in God first. Let Him meet your deepest needs. When your soul is filled with divine love, you no longer need external validation or drama to feel worthy.
Pause and receive daily. Make time for stillness—prayer, meditation, listening. Feel God’s comfort, wisdom, hope, and healing. Surrender. Let the love in. Be grateful. Elijah found God not in wind, earthquake, or fire—but in the still small voice (1 Kings 19:12). The same quiet space is where we receive most deeply.
Trust the flow. When you’re full, you naturally know when and how to give. Inspired action feels passionate and light—not forced or draining.
Release fear and old patterns. Use Energy Balancing with Faith to clear subconscious resistance to receiving. Let go of “I must do it all” or “I’m not worthy of help.” Replace with truth: “I am loved. I am worthy. I receive with gratitude.”
Use these oils while reciting affirmations inhale during stillness, apply over heart, or diffuse:
Oregano: Strengthens boundaries and inner resolve.
Thyme: Empowers courage and clarity.
Rose: Opens the heart to unconditional divine love.
Geranium: Balances emotions and fosters self-acceptance.
Cypress: Supports transitions and release of old burdens.
When we learn to receive well, everything changes.
We feel peace instead of panic.
We work joyfully, not frantically.
We get more done with less effort—because we’re in synchronicity with God.
Relationships deepen. Health improves. Abundance flows.
We no longer attract or tolerate one-sided exchanges—we create mutual, energizing ones.
God is abundant.
There is plenty of love, time, resources, and help for everyone.
You don’t have to earn it. You don’t have to do it alone.
Simply open your heart, receive, and let the cycle continue.
Peace creates joy. Joy creates flow. Flow creates more peace.
Let’s stop resisting what Heaven wants to give us.
Be a joyful receiver—and watch how brightly the world shines back.
